Next steps: 1) more depth needed for unseen media text analysis- see mark scheme. 2) Q4- although very good- you're missing media text examples to support your argument- this will become easier once we study relevant CSPs however some questions invite you to consider your own knowledge of media texts.  Q1) The gold, textured colour scheme to the main text offers connotations of wealth, success and luxury – reflecting both Stormzy’s recent success and also qualities associated with the genre of music (rap/grime).

Q4) Bandura’s social learning theory suggests people copy behaviour seen on screen. However, the experiment was with children and has been discredited by some studies since. Raises questions about regulation and whether young people should be protected from certain media content. In digital age, also raises question if such regulation is even possible when content can be downloaded and parents are not always aware what their child is consuming.

Write a new paragraph for this question based on the suggested theories/answers in the mark scheme. Make sure it is an extensive, detailed paragraph focused on the question and offering examples from the wider media.

One theory that suggests the media could be dangerous towards audiences is the social learning theory, in which Bandura believed that people copy or imitate whatever they see. Within this approach, Bandura conducted his Bobo doll experiment in which children were tested to see how they'd react to aggressive behaviour displayed towards a bobo doll. The findings showed most of the children the copying the aggressive behaviour onto the doll when left alone with it. This study is a clear example of how the media can be damaging for young people as it can cause them to behave irrationally in the wrong ways. For example, if someone a child who is regularly on TikTok sees someone post something unkind or say bad language and the post gets positive comments, that child is more likely too repost or recreate the same post. This is due to social media platforms being hard to regulated due to the high amount of user generated content that is involved as well as the billions of users that actively post within their free will, making it hard to set restrictions. This is also due to people making things up online and lying anonymously as they know that it won't affect them, which shows how this can be damaging towards audiences.
